A simple and classical form, the roimata is a common form of jade pendant widely worn in New Zealand, consisting of a simple elongated drop of variable lower shape. This roimata shows the classical teardrop shape, and is carved in a frosty-patterned, intensely dark green jade found in the Arahura River on New Zealand's West Coast.

Measuring in at 72mm long and 30mm wide at its widest point, this piece sports a high gloss and a thin cross-section that makes it extremely lightweight for its size. Suitable for both fancy and everyday wear, it's an understated piece of a classical form.
