While the flower jades of the Marsden region are New Zealand's most famous examples of flower jade, stones of this type are also found in many other regions of New Zealand's jade fields. This example was found in the Hokitika River, and has been carved into a simple pendant with a toki-like profile - flowing down from a thicker top to a more blade-like lower edge. It showcases some beautiful flower patterns running down its length, and its high glods does a fantastic job of showing those colours off.

Measuring in at 52mm long and 36mm wide at its widest point, this is a lovely conversation piece and a lightweight pendant that can suit a wearer of pretty much any size or build.
