A commonly-worn style of necklace across a great many cultures throughout history, the pectoral is characterised by being designed to stretch across the chest in the cleft between the collar bones, with examples being either patterned or plain. This pectoral is a plain form carved from the softer outer rind of a jade boulder, making an understated but also very inexpensive pectoral for the budget-conscious buyer.

Measuring in at 128mm wide and 38mm deep, this piece showcases the lighter tones and rippled textures of jade rinds, with only a few small spots of greens breaking through. It has been polished to a high gloss that shows off its texture well, and has a simple slipknot-type suspension.
