Showcasing the profound toughness of nephrite jade, this incredibly slender curved roimata has been fashioned from a black nephrite jade pebble found in the Hokitika River on one of our carver's trips there. The finished piece is technically a black jade; though due to its less obviously-black hue, we're opting to simply describe it as a dark jade.
 
Measuring in at 85mm long and 23mm wide, it's a glossy piece of negligible weight due to its extreme slenderness. Featuring some veining that accentuates its dark tones, it's a wonderful piece for the wearer who wants something bold yet doesn't like a weighty piece around their neck.
