Found in a few places on New Zealand's West Coast, rhodonite is a fine-grained manganese silicate gemstone that has a colour range running through pinks and purples to hints of greys and browns. This piece is an intruiguing, slender pendant with bursts of mid-pink interspersed with threads of brown and even a few hints of yellowish tones. The form is a simple long drop, and the curvature gives it something of a resemblance to a jellybean - hence the name.
 
Measuring in at 74mm long yet only 13mm wide at its widest point, this is a long yet lightweight piece that suits small wearers every bit as much as larger ones. Its slightly earthy tones make it an excellent piece for everyday wear, while its mainly pink body hue mean that it's also not out of place when accompanying formal or fancy wear.
