Simple yet elegant in form, this beautiful pendant was carved from a stone I acquired some years ago through another carver - whose grandchildren had used it as a drawing palette! Under their various cute little scribbles lay a stone with a beautiful range of tones; mostly bright green, but with the odd orange and brown spot here and there that accentuated its frosty base hue. The pendant that I've carved from this stone is one of simple yet elegant form, shaped to flow with the curves of the body and draw the viewer's eye while being light and comfortable for everyday wear.
 
Measuring in at 81mm long and 27mm wide, the slender profile of this piece keeps its weight to a comfortable range for even the most petite wearer. It's a simple piece with an equally simple charm - so I guess I'm not surpised that it drew the eye of children as it did!
