Carved from a natural pebble of dark green kawakawa jade found in the Hokitika River, this simple yet elegant trigonal pendant showcases an striking array of lighter flower patterns against the more usual dark green shade for which this colour-typing of New Zealand nephrite jade is best known. Its form was chosen to offer the best display of these striking patterns, and of the colour with which they contrast so well.
 
Measuring in at 66mm long and 42mm wide at its widest point, the high gloss and striking patterns of the piece suit it well to formal and fancy wear.
