Frequently coming from the outer portions of a jade boulder and being chracterised by its fish-like spotting patterns, kokopu or trout jade is well-known for the pleasing range of pale blues, greens and browns that are its most common body colours. This piece has a lovely, soft green base hue with rich spotting, and has been carved into a simple roimata form that does a great job of showing off its natural patterns.
 
Measuring in at 63mm long and 34mm wide at its widest point, this is an excellent and inexpensive piece suited for everyday wear.
