Fan of waterways and streams? A frog lover? Then maybe this is the piece for you! Carved from a grey-green section of schillered, schistose nephrite jade found in the Arahura River many years ago, this charming pendant shows a beautiful streaking pattern like light on the surface of rippled water. Its form is that of a tadpole just before it begins to grow legs: fluid. eel-like, but suggestive of becoming so much more.
Measuring in at 113mm long and 35mm wide at its widest point, the slenderness of the carving's tail reduces its weight nicely, making it very comfortable to wear. It's definitely a piece for the lover of the large, and is suited to both everyday and fancy wear.
